The following information is related to a personal experience ocurred in this learning process. It could be useful for others who want to work with this software for a first time.

Installation troubles

PROBLEM:

The OpenFOAM tutorials begin using FoamX in the learning process but FoamX is not always installed with OpenFOAM.

...SOLUTION...:

Be sure to install FoamX appropiately it could take a long time. Although FoamX is only an application for accessing and modify the OpenFOAM files, it is used in the tutorials and it is very helpful when you initiate to learn how is organized all the information.


PROBLEM:
* * * * * * * * *
The ParaView3.2.1. version for Windows from the ParaView official website works beautifully but it cannot work with OpenFOAM files.

...SOLUTION...:

Install this version: Precompiled ParaView 3.x binary with built-in OpenFOAM native reader, which is also for Windows.
